Elizabeth Day 7

Topics that we discussed today in ICT in Education:

- Geo Guesser is a website that allows you to play a geographic guessing game. When you start the game, you will be shown a satellite image of an mysterious area. You will be able to move the image around to try to find clues from the image that will tell you where in the world this specific area in the image is. When you decide where you think the place in the image is, you can drop a point on the world map and  submit your guess. The correct answer will appear on the map and show you exactly how far (or close) the actual place was from your guess. I really love this website and will definitely be using it in my teaching adventures! This will be an excellent tool for me to use with my students so that they can explore the world from the classroom, which is very nice when you live in a remote community.
- First Nations Seeker is a website that has many maps and resources for locating information related to First Nation groups in the world. This website includes an abundant amount of information on the different First Nations groups in the world, as well as links to each group's band website. This tool can be very useful when teaching Native Studies or even when trying to incorporate Native Studies into your other required subject areas.
- Vocaroo is a website that allows you to use it's voice recording tool. When you record and save your file, you have options when sharing or posting your podcast. this website will even create a QR code for your recording! This is definitely a tool I would like to use with my students and incorporate into my lessons.
